The National Contact Point on cross-border healthcare was established based on Directive 2011/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2011 on the application of patients' rights in cross-border healthcare and based on the Health Care and Health Insurance Act.
Health Insurance Institute of the Republic of Slovenia (ZZZS) performs the tasks of the National Contact Point for cross-border healthcare. It offers general information about treatment abroad by phone and e-mail, and provides the following content on its websites:
